Last year's host nation, Azerbaijan put a lot of effort into their final this year, culminating with Farid Mammadov being the lucky act to represent their country at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö in May.

Sabina Babayeva will have the honour of representing her home country Azerbaijan at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Baku with the song When The Music Dies. Sabina is thrilled and honoured to fly the Azerbaijani flag in Baku next May.

After an exciting voting in front of tenthousands of people in a fully packed Düsseldorf Arena and millions of TV viewers all over Europe, it was finally Ell/Nikki from Azerbaijan who received the highest number of points from televoters and juries from the 43 countries participating in this year's edition of Europe's favourite TV-show! Ell/Nikki managed to gather 221 points altogether - followed by Raphael Gualazzi from Italy with 189 points and Sweden's Eric Saade who collected 185 points.

The official Eurovision website Eurovision.tv has today uploaded the video by Ell & Nikki, called Running scared. It had been rumoured to be the title of the selected song for a while, and now it is confirmed as the Azerbaijani entry for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf.
