Finally Slovakia will be represented in Baku. Public broadcaster RTVS announced today that Miro Šmajda will defend the Slovak colours in the Azerbaijani capital Baku next May.

Slovakia out of ESC 2012
Despite earlier rumors that confirmed its presence in Baku, Slovakia will not be represented in Eurovision 2012. The director of entertainment, Andrej Miklánek, said such a low budget cannot compete in the next edition of the festival. Currently, the station’s goal is to invest in national productions.
