Sweden sends Loreen with Euphoria to Eurovision

The final of the Melodifestivalen 2012 is just over and the Swedish public together with the international juries decided to send to Baku hot favourite Loreen with Euphoria. The second favourite, Danny Saucedo with Amazing came second.

After a heart stopping voting, Loreen managed to get 22 points more than Danny Saucedo's Amazing by the international juries. This is how the juries voted:

Estonia Euphoria 12, Amazing 10
Cyprus Euphoria 12, Why am I crying 10
UK Euphoria 6, Amazing 12
Bosnia & Herzegovina Euphoria 12, Shout it out 10
France Euphoria 10, Amazing 12
Ukraine Euphoria 10, Amazing 12
Malta Euphoria 10, Shout it out 12
Germany Euphoria 12, Soldiers 10
Ireland Euphoria 12, Soldiers 10

The televoting gave Loreen 154 points and 105 to Danny making the final score:
Loreen - Euphoria 268
Danny Saucedo - Amazing 198

Euphoria is written by Thomas G:son and Peter Boström. Thomas G:son already has a song in the final of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest as he co-wrote the Spanish entry Quédate Conmigo performed by Pastora Soler. Peter Boström also co-wrote the Norwegian entry, Tooji's Stay which, like Sweden, will also take part in the second semi-final on the 24th of May.
